The Examiner was a quick, fun, read filled with questions that I couldn’t wait to have answered. The method of providing information through texts, emails, and media sources that were so obviously biased. I appreciated having a book where the bias of each character and each part of the book were clear. There was no point where any of the characters were trustworthy, and that made it more exciting to read through to the conclusion.
The ease of reading this book meant that the book had the potential to neglect the characterizations of the characters, fortunately, this was not the case in The Examiner. Most characters were fully thought out with twists and turns that were the right combination of expected and unexpected.
The mystery itself lacked some common sense. While the characters were great fun to read about, they lacked motivation for the case. There was so much cloak and dagger type mystery going on that it became impossible to discover what really mattered and what did not.
Overall this was a fun read for anyone who wants to be in the deceptive art world.
